About
A specialist studio for languages that have to perform on screen
I started Conlang Services in 2017 with a single focus: fictional languages that hold up in front of an audience. Spoken by working actors, written into final art, shipped on production timelines.
We've built languages for Skydance Animation's WondLa on Apple TV and for Ascendant Studios' Immortals of Aveum, a first-person magic shooter published by EA Originals. On WondLa, that meant a spoken and written system used across dialogue and on-screen text throughout the series. On Immortals, it meant a single magical language used for both combat incantations and formal ritual speech, alongside a glyph system environment artists used as a true alphabet.
The work is shaped by two principles. Every system serves the story: phonology, grammar, and writing systems are tools for character, culture, and world. Every deliverable is built for the people who use it: writers in the room, actors in the booth, designers on the floor, directors making calls under pressure.
Whether you need a complete spoken and written system or focused dialogue support for a single sequence, the scope starts with a written brief and fixed pricing before any design work begins.
